Happy Halloween!

Last weekend there was a Halloween Tot Parade along Piedmont Avenue in Oakland; they shut down the street to traffic for about an hour and the kids walk from store to store collecting treats.

Nora enjoyed her first lollipop in front of our friend Gail's shop.

Malcolm (cunningly disguised as a well-behaved three-year-old — spooky!) took in the view from Papa's shoulders.

Better late than never...

We've just sorted through and posted the best of our photos taken since May — a bit of a backlog. Here's a few chosen from the batch. If you'd like to see the rest, give a holler and we'll send the link.

Now That’s a BIG Pumpkin!

We went to the local pumpkin patch yesterday, where Nora sported her frog costume and Mardi Gras beads along with her brother’s sneakers (Malcolm doesn’t want to wear a costume this year).

Catching up on Fall visits

Nana and Pop came for a wonderful visit (without their dog, Molly, much to Malcolm's chagrin) in September...

"My broker's E.F. Hutton..."

...and Baba took these great photos of the kids during her annual visit in early October.

It's not an easy thing, capturing on camera Nora's attempts to walk—the moments are fleeting, but triumphant!

The First Entry...

Our previous family website was a bit dull as we rarely updated it, but we hope this format is more fun to maintain. With any luck we'll post more or less regularly and make it worth your while to visit on occasion. For those of you who have been asking to see a picture, here's the place we call home: our hillside house in Oakland, CA.
