Malcolm and Nora celebrated their birthdays with parties at home (for Nora) and at an indoor play place with bouncers and games (for Malcolm). A good time was had by all, and Malcolm's party raised over $150 for Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue (Nora raised some money for feral cat rescue, too). Still, there were pressies galore, and pink chocolate cake for Nora and a Thomas ice cream cake for Malcolm.

Bird and Cat Rescue Parties!

Malcolm wanted a new bird for his birthday, which isn't in the cards -- so instead his 6th birthday party will be a fund raiser for a rescued bird. Nora thought the idea was really cool, but prefers to help cats for her 4th birthday party. They are still hoping for pressies from their lists (see the Amazon link to the left), but if you are inspired to make a small donation to either of the organizations below, that'd be great too.

Malcolm’s 6th birthday party also is a fundraiser for a lucky rescued bird being cared for by the good volunteers at Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue, from which Malcolm’s own pet birds, Henry and Rudy, were adopted.
